Unfortunately, The Altered Alice is experiencing technical difficulties and this month’s announcement has been delayed. The anticipation builds 😉 Which one of the wonderful projects submitted will be the winner? You’ll have to come back later to find out! In the meantime, check out all of the great entries 🙂 Sincere apologies to any of those who can’t stand the suspense.

On a different note, how was your Thanksgiving? Were you lucky enough to spend some quality time with great friends and family? Did you spend a quiet day at home, or were you one of the brave souls who hit the malls? We spent the day with my sister and her family. The usual Thanksgiving celebration starts out with me relaxing with a cup of joe, watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. I love watching it from the comfort of my living room. I wouldn’t have the patience to drive down to the city to watch it from the sidewalks. NYC is crazy enough on non holidays! Here are a few pics of our day:

The poor turkey came out of the pot without it’s poor legs…lol! My sister said that when she was lifting the turkey out of the roasting pan, the turkey came out with no legs…lol. She said that she wasn’t expecting it, and almost dropped the silly thing on the floor! I’m thankful that she didn’t 😉

We went out today and picked out our Christmas trees. Yes, trees. Each year we buy two…one for inside our house, and the other for our deck in the back of our house. It’s a tradition each year, to drive to a local tree farm and cut our own. Well, sort of. We go with our neighbors, and they cut their own tree. Hubby and I have decided that we’d like a not so big tree, so we buy pre cut table top trees. I have a small living room, and the smaller tree works out better. Here are a few pictures from this year’s jaunt to the countryside:

It was a beautiful day for picking out the perfect Christmas tree…I think the high reached 60 degrees! Staff offered us each a cup of hot cocoa; but we declined. Our tradition entails stopping at a diner on the way home..for breakfast. We didn’t want to ruin our appetites 🙂

I guess that’s all I have to report…so thanks for stopping by, and until next time….Peace.
