Happy Belated Birthday, America!

Our family spent the day as many others did….with friends and family.  Picnics in the backyard….they’re the best. The weather couldn’t have been better….sunshine and low humidity.  After dark, my daughter and I went in search of the perfect spot to watch the fireworks put on at the State Capitol complex. We ended up across the river, upstream…and on the rooftop of a parking garage at the local community college.  This garage just so happened to be right next to the local minor league baseball field who put on quite a show themselves.  So she and I lucked out and got to see two fireworks shows!  *Two thumbs up*

Today is Sunday…so that means a new week over at the Altered Alice.  If you stop over today, you’ll see an example of  what this month’s sponsoronecrabapple has to offer.  Due to unforseen circumstances, the etsy shop is temporarily closed, but our Mad Hatter, Lynne Phelps has worked her magic, and shared some images that this month’s winner will be able to pick from.  Of course, it goes with out saying (but I’ll say it anyway), check out the feast for the eyes that three of the design team members ( Tracy, Barbara and Sue) can make claim to.

It’s going to be another beautiful day in upstate NY…so maybe hubby and I will take a car ride up to the country, and have lunch at one of the local pubs along the way. So until next time…..Peace.
