About the Project
The Roller Derby Quilt is a collaborative craft project focusing on roller derby themes and imagery. The goal is to get squares representing every league worldwide. Squares by individual skaters, refs, volunteers, and family members are welcome, as are team and league squares.
Want to contribute a square? Here’s how:
Dimensions: Squares should be 8″ x 8″ plus a small seam allowance so that I can attach them to their neighbors.

Materials: Anything goes! I have many squares made of old derby uniforms and merch, but some have added odd things like old whistles, used skate laces, bandages, even pieces of old posters.

Imagery: Again, anything goes. Please include your derby name and number if it’s a personal square, or team/league name if it represents your league as a whole.

Contact: Email me at rollerderbyquilt (at) gmail (dot) com if you want to know where to send your contributions.

Here’s another link.

One of the girls on Honky’s roller derby team (Thanks, Jezibelle!) pointed out this blog to me. I’m going to send a block (or two). I’m not a seamstress…but I do have that Hello Kitty sewing machine! I’ll have a go at it. What the hay. I think it’s a fabulous idea. I’m just trying to spread the word about it….so….if there are any roller girls reading this….why not send a block…and represent!

Don’t forget the giveaway, over at AlphaStamps! asgiveawaylogo1
