About me

MeI’ve been married to the same man for 35 years and have two grown children. I work full time and am looking forward to retirement. In my spare time, I create greeting cards and have recently dabbled in scrapbooking. I have a ga-zillion favorite bookmarks for easy access to all of the creative inspiration out there.

I also love to travel. I’ve been to the four continguous corners of the United States…and plenty of places in between. The southwestern states are my favorite. I’ve been to the the Gaspe peninsula in Canada…and to Vancouver, British Columbia. I’ve travelled to Toronto a few times, and to Ottawa just a few years ago. Pretty neat, eh? My sister took me to Aruba once…her treat. I needed a little R&R…and she was there for me. I’ve ventured to Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England with my sister. And persuaded my daughter to cross the pond with me to Ireland. I was planning on going back to Ireland with my husband, he got his passport….but we’ve decided to put off our trip until the dollar gets stronger. So instead….our next trip will be to Colorado, Utah, North and South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana and perhaps Idaho. We’ll need to rent a car with unlimited mileage for this trip! I have three weeks vacation time burning a whole in my time card at work *wink wink*

*Update* Took our trip to Utah, Montana, Wyoming, North and South Dakota. The United States of America really is a beautiful country…there is so much to see.

I’m real, and I love to laugh.

Thanks for the memories! I am 51 yrs old and have decided to do a scrapbook for my 52-yr old sister – just a book full of those great childhood toys, games, memories, etc. I was searching for a picture of the doll Tammy, which I won in a reading contest in the 1st grade. I clicked on yours and laughed at how many of your memories are the same as mine. I had forgotten all about the Spinning Wheel! We use to spin those long tube-like things and wind them around and around to make “braided rugs” for our dolls. I don’t think we ever figured out how to make anything else! Thanks for adding to my book! Terry

Thanks so much for your kind words and for visiting my blog! I like your art very much, and I envy your travels! the furthest I’ve been is to the Caribbean twice (Bonaire and Provodenciales, both times for the diving) and to Montreal once. Travel is another thing I am looking forward to when I retire, too!
