Another weekend bites the dust
Well…here we are again….Sunday evening. Another weekend under our belts. Why is it that Monday mornings always comes so quickly? It was a scorcher of a weekend too….we’ve had the central air on since Friday. UGH
Yesterday was the year end party for the Albany All Stars Roller Derby League. Hubby and I tagged along…it was a nice party. We stayed a few hours…had a few drinks…and some appetizers. The league hired a couple of limos to drive the guests from the party to wherever they wanted to go afterwards. I think that was a good idea,,,that way, no one would get behind the wheel and drive after having a few drinks. Of course I brought my camera..and took maybe a hundred pictures…lol. Here’s one….a group shot:
I’ve also been a little crafty this weekend….I completed one ATC and a card:
I should mention that the card I made is a result of a challenge over on Dani’s Blog. Dani is incredibly talented, as you’ll see if you click on the link.
Well…it’s time for me to wrap things up and hit the hay….5:45am comes quick….it’s already after 11pm. Until next time….Peace.

My baby is 30 years old!
I can’t believe it…my baby is thirty! It doesn’t seem that long ago that he was so little and so darn cute! Happy Birthday, Junior!

I’m home early from work today because I have a dentist appointment this afternoon. I stopped at the Farmer’s Market on my way home from work and bought a few new perennial shrubs…the one on the right is golden bluebeard and the one on the left is weigela.

So when I got home, I grabbed my camera, and decided to take a few pictures of what’s blooming today: astilbes, geraniums, coreopsis (?) and daisys:

While outside having a look around…I came across a birds nest tucked inside the hanging fuschia basket on my front porch. Hubby said that he’s seen a robin building it…but hasn’t seen it around in a few days.

In an earlier post, I showed a picture of another robin’s nest inside the flowering almond that lives next to our driveway….There were three little birds born in that nest…I called them Winken…Blinken and Nod:

I should charge rent!

Today’s Post
Happy Summertime to all you folks in the northern hemisphere…and a Happy Winter to all of you in the south.
My laptop is still with the computer geek (I say that affectionately, of course). Maybe he’ll have some good news for me tomorrow. I sure do miss it.
Yesterday was Saturday…and you know what Saturday is, right? Saturday is rugby day!!! I spent the day with my daughter Katie….she’s playing “Seven’s”. There was a tournament in Springfield, Massachusetts yesterday. It ran smoothly, and was well organized. Kudos to you, Springfield Rugby Football Club…well done! This was my first experience watching “7’s” and I liked it. It was fast…really fast. The halves were only 7 minutes each. The games were over before you knew it! Another thing I liked about it was…there were boys there. I like watching the men play…they’re even faster!

I took a stroll through my yard this morning, and snapped a few pictures to share. I’d tell you what the names of my plants are, but I really don’t remember. I’m more of a visual type person.

What I do know though, is, what are in the next three photos. These are radishes..
Two tomato plants:..
Collards for the iguana…
…and last…but not least…our resident gargoyle…watching over the string beans:
My cute little flower cart is empty…I need to go out and buy some more annuals to brighten it up….

Today is my in-laws 61st wedding anniversary. That’s a long time…don’t you think? Anyone married that long deserves a medal…lol. Here’s their card for this year:

I’m heading off to a baby shower later this afternoon….and here’s the card I made for the mother to be:
Until next time….Peace
